Luka Doncic usually prefers to keep his private life out of the spotlight. Despite this, the Lakers star found himself in the middle of a controversy when a supposed fan started spreading rumors of a breakup with his girlfriend, Anamaria Goltes. However, the rumors were recently debunked.
It’s rare to see Doncic talk about his relationship with Goltes. However, in a 2023 interview on Headlines with Rachel Nichols, the Lakers guard offered a brief glimpse into their relationship.
I met her in Croatia at the same camp I go to now,” Doncic explained. “I met her when we were 11, I don’t know, something like that. So I’m really happy to have her.” It’s been great, and she helps me a lot.
After seven years of dating, Doncic finally proposed to Goltes on July 7, 2023. However, a recent rumor cast a shadow over their relationship, or so one fan claimed.

The account X (formerly Twitter) @KT_3410, known for closely following the famous couple, recently asserted that Goltes had deleted the photo where Doncic gave her the engagement ring.
“Damn, she removed the pinned post of him proposing on his birthday. It’s really over,” the user asserted, sharing a screenshot of Goltes’ Instagram profile.
Following this revelation, other fans and media outlets rushed to Goltes’ account, only to discover that the photo was still there.
“Their engagement post is still pinned,” confirmed Juan Paolo David of Sportskeeda. “It’s right next to her post showing their children, Gabriela and Olivia, from December 2023 and December 2025.”

Rumors of trouble between the couple began in January, when Anamaria shared her decade-long recap, without mentioning Doncic or their engagement, according to People.com.
Although the model later shared another recap post, this time showing off her engagement ring. Furthermore, a few days ago, @KT_3410 shared screenshots showing that Doncic had liked photos of some model.
True to form, the couple hasn’t aired their potential problems publicly. Now, one has to wonder if it was an honest mistake or if this user is trying to create controversy where none exists.
