LeBron James ‘stops’ the game to respond to a fan who asked him about his lack of hair

Last night, during the Los Angeles Lakers‘ road game at the Philadelphia 76ers, veteran star LeBron James gave hoops fans a lesson in confidence, and quick wit. As a fan sitting courtside shouted, “You still ain’t got no hair though,” James didn’t ignore it or snap.

Instead, the 40-year-old forward turned, smiled, and delivered a zinger: “You know what I do got though… and plenty of it.” With that, the game paused. Cameras caught the moment, social media exploded, and suddenly the spotlight wasn’t on the scoreboard, it was on LeBron.

The Lakers ultimately came away with a 112-108 win, and James turned in a stellar line – 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, including a clutch run to seal the deal.

Yet despite the big night on the stat sheet, it’s his off-handed clap-back that stole the show. Fans cheered, many laughed, and online the comment spread faster than any three-pointer he sunk in the final minutes.

Clapping back with class

LeBron‘s response melded humility, swagger and reality – addressing criticism while effectively saying: “I might be balding, but I’ve still got everything else.”

He defused the heckler without losing his composure, proving again why he’s one of the game’s most seasoned veterans. Commentators described the exchange as “the laugh heard around the league.”

It wasn’t the first time James has faced jabs about his hairline. Over his storied two-decade career, critics and fans alike have occasionally mocked his receding hair.

Still, time hasn’t diminished his shot mechanics, court vision or his refusal to let disparaging remarks distract him.

Early in the 2025 season, he even addressed speculation about his future – including rumors of retirement – only to silence it with performance rather than words.

In a world quick to spotlight flaws, LeBron reminded everyone why some jokes-and some players-deserve respect. He didn’t just respond to a heckler; he turned a moment meant to mock into one reminding the league who still runs the floor.
