LeBron James delivered a spectacular performance in the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory over the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 112-108, with the “King” making it clear that teamwork is far more important than personal glory.
Wins are what guide teams to the Finals, not individual statistics, and for James, that has been evident throughout his 23 years in the NBA. In the game against the 76ers, he demonstrated it once again, when instead of trying to be the hero through scoring, he chose to pass the ball for the game-winning assist.
And after the game, with emotions running high, he posted a clear message on his Instagram account for the person who has been his partner and friend for nearly his entire life, someone he wished he could have been close to during that moment of celebration.
I miss my BFF!!! @mrs_savannahrj
That was what LeBron posted on his story to make it clear that his wife is, and always will be, his top priority.
Savannah is always present at Crypto.com Arena
LeBron James’ wife, Savannah, never misses her husband’s home games. However, on this occasion, the Lakers were on a road trip to the East Coast to face Philadelphia, and she could not attend.
Savannah missed James’ outstanding performance, and she is surely regretting not being there to congratulate him at the end of the game.
What LeBron did in this recent matchup against the Sixers was simply beastly: 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists while going 12-of-17 from the field, including four three pointers.
Little by little, the “King” is getting into the season rhythm that his teammates already have. It is worth remembering that he missed 14 games due to his sciatic issue. And gradually, since returning, he has been regaining his rhythm and beginning to look imposing in every game they play.
For LeBron James, this was a spectacular night where he continues to show that, despite many considering him too old to keep playing, or saying he is taking opportunities from younger players, he proves in every game that he is built for big moments on the court.
You just play the game how it unfolds. I feel like (Austin Reaves) had some really good looks tonight, but he wasn’t in the rhythm that he’s been in all season. And I understood that traveling from a different country back here with a newborn could be very taxing on you, not only mentally, but] physically, and shout out to (Luka Doncic) and his family for the newborn. That’s amazing.
