Carlos Alcaraz found out early this afternoon, after training with Mallorcan Pedro Vives, the ‘sparring’ partner of the masters in Turin, that Taylor Fritz will be his second opponent on Tuesday in the ATP Finals. The American defeated local favorite Lorenzo Musetti, who had barely been able to train on the court at the Inalpi Arena. The Italian had just played in the final of the Athens Open 250 with Novak Djokovic on Saturday
Alcaraz meets Fritz for the fourth time this season. Taylor has lost the head-to-head with the Spaniard by four victories to one, although he was able to beat him at the Laver Cup in San Francisco. There they played on an indoor hard court, conditions similar to those of the Masters tournament
