After Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision in late June, he proceeded to call out Gervonta Davis and Anthony Joshua for his follow-up fight. At the time, everyone called him insane, and no one actually believed he was being serious.
Yet less than a month later, “Tank” Davis took him up on the offer. Despite the huge size advantage for Paul, the fight was set for November 14. Then came Davis’ legal troubles, and the subsequent cancellation of the bout. Since that point, Paul has been looking for a replacement to fight before the end of the year.
