Giants pitcher Logan Webb loses his cool after fart ruins his press conference

San Francisco Giants ace Logan Webb is known for his cool demeanor on the mound, but during a media session on Friday, the right-hander showed his sense of humor when a surprise interruption left him momentarily speechless.

In the middle of answering a question from a reporter, Webb was hit with an auditory ambush, as someone nearby let out a loud fart, instantly derailing the interview and testing Webb’s composure. The moment was caught on camera and quickly went viral.

Trying to maintain his professionalism, Webb cracked a smile but couldn’t hold back his laughter.

“I’m sorry,” he said with a chuckle. “I’m sorry; farts are always funny, not going to lie.”

A relatable moment in a tight division race

Webb‘s reaction was about as relatable as it gets, and the internet wasted no time celebrating the moment.

“I don’t care how old you are,” one fan wrote on X. “You’ll never be too grown for a well-timed fart to take you out.”

Another added: “So true. It’s like the joke that never gets old. Even when my four year old farts we all stop and giggle.”

“deep breath through the nose, don’t worry, you’ll get through this,” a third joked.

The mood in the Giants’ clubhouse may be lighter these days. Despite dropping Friday night’s game, San Francisco is off to a strong 13-7 start, putting them in a tight race in the NL West. They’re currently even with the Dodgers and just two games back of the division-leading Padres.

In that same game, Webb did his job on the hill, going six innings, giving up just four hits and one earned run, while racking up an impressive 12 strikeouts. Even with the loss, his performance solidified why he remains one of the most dependable arms in the league.
