Fernando Mendoza lived one of his first experiences off the field as a Raiders player alongside Kirk Cousins. The two quarterbacks shared a visit to In-N-Out, one of the most popular burger chains in the United States.
Cousins had already made it clear that the popular burger chain holds a special place in his routine. After wins, the quarterback turned visits to In-N-Out into a kind of personal tradition, and now Mendoza seems to have joined the ritual.
A tradition that reached the rookie
Mendoza arrived in Las Vegas as the first overall pick in the 2026 Draft and shares the locker room with Cousins, one of the most experienced quarterbacks on the roster.
The visit to the historic hamburger chain also made it possible to see the relationship between the two quarterbacks off the field. Cousins arrived in Las Vegas with enough experience to become a role model for Mendoza during his adaptation to the NFL.
Cousins previously explained what his usual order at the chain is: “I actually have a habit I’m not very proud of. If I’m really hungry… I order three 3×3 burgers. I don’t order onions, but I do get fries. And I usually don’t order a shake. That’s probably the only discipline I try to maintain”.
Cousins’ presence also brings experience to the Las Vegas quarterback group. The veteran has spent several years in the NFL, while Mendoza is facing his first season as a professional.
And while that relationship develops in the locker room, their time together also extends to more informal situations. This time, the setting was one of Cousins’ favorite restaurants. For Mendoza, it was another of his first experiences as a member of the Raiders away from the field.
Mendoza still has a long adaptation process ahead of him in the NFL, but he has already discovered one of the unwritten rules of his new team: after winning, apparently there is also time to stop for a hamburger.
