Donald Trump wants Cristiano Ronaldo in the United States with a message in which he again ‘disparages’ Messi

The World Cup is getting closer and closer and, as a result, several personalities are starting to get into the world of soccer. One of them is Donald Trump, who has gradually become more of a fan of the sport and has made public his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, to whom he recently made a “proposal” through social media.

Trump has already shown on other occasions his support for CR7 and now, through a video posted on TikTok, he sent him a message that can be interpreted in several ways, but confirms that he wants the Portuguese as close as possible to his country to, probably, compete with Leo Messi.

Trump’s message to Cristiano Ronaldo

Trump is quite active on his personal social networks and this was no exception. The former President of the United States uploaded a video that generated quite an impact and quickly went viral. In the video, he referred directly to Ronaldo, expressing his desire to see him in the USA.

Ronaldo, you are the greatest of all time. America needs you. Keep it up, we hope to see you soon over here

Trump’s message can be interpreted in two ways: one is that he wants the World Cup to start soon to have the Portuguese and his national team in the country to compete in the tournament, or the other is that he wants him directly playing in MLS to be Messi’s rival.

Whatever Trump’s intention, the truth is that he has a great admiration for Ronaldo and if he left him this message, it is because he really wants to have him playing in his country.

Trump and his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo

This TikTok video was not the first time Trump has shown his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, as in November last year, the former president of the United States had already invited the footballer to the White House for a dinner with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, where there were other figures such as Elon Musk.

On that occasion, Trump also made good comments about CR7:

“My son is a big fan of Ronaldo, wherever he is. Baron met him, and I think now my son respects his father a little more, simply because I introduced him to Ronaldo. So I just wanted to thank both of them for being here. Thank you very much. It’s a real honor,” the US president said at the time.
