Journalist David Alandete was the one who revealed the curious news that has surprised the world inside and outside of sport by discovering that Donald Trump had hung his photo next to the Portuguese star on his visit some months ago to American soil.
In the photo that was hung in the White House, the winner of the European Championship a few years ago, Cristiano Ronaldo, and the president of the United States, Donald Trump, appear having a pleasant conversation in the Oval Office. The Portuguese visited the White House in November last year after he was invited as part of a dinner in honor of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salam.
On that visit by Cristiano Ronaldo, Donald Trump praised the Portuguese player, the current Nations League champion, whom he described as “an extraordinary person”.
