David Stearns denies preventing Francisco Lindor from participating in World Baseball Classic

Another hurricane is hitting the Mets organization. Fans of the team are once again going all out against David Stearns, the director of operations. This time the reason is Francisco Lindor and his absence from the World Baseball Classic with Puerto Rico.They accuse the executive of denying him permission to compete in the tournament.

In the face of these accusations, Stearns denies interfering to deprive the player of representing his country in the tournament. He emphasized that the franchise cannot intervene in such arrangements because it goes against the regulations, which stipulate that the MLBPA and MLB make such decisions.
