Djokovic on Sinner’s positive test: “That cloud will follow him like the coronavirus cloud followed me”

Novak Djokovic won the 101st title of his career on Saturday after defeating Lorenzo Musetti in the final of the ATP 250 event in Athens. He then confirmed his withdrawal from the ATP Finals in Turin.

Weeks earlier, during the second edition of the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, Djokovic gave an interview to British journalist Piers Morgan that is now being published

The 24-time Grand Slam champion was asked about his opinion on Jannik Sinner’s positive test for clostebol at Indian Wells 2024. Djokovic did not mince his words: “That cloud will follow him just as the Covid-19 cloud followed me.”

On the domination of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner on the circuit, Djokovic commented that “of course I have doubts whether I will win another Grand Slam title with those two playing”
