The 2026 Caribbean Series not only puts the baseball pride of the region at stake, but also offers an attractive economic prize that recognizes the effort of the teams involved. This edition of the ‘Caribbean Series‘ is shaping up to be one of the most important events in Latin American baseball. With Mexico as the host country and with two representative teams, the tournament will bring together the elite of the Caribbean in a week full of excitement, tradition and, of course, economic incentives.

How much money does the 2026 Caribbean Series champion earn?

Although the Confederation of Caribbean Professional Baseball (CBPC) usually confirms the official figures at the end of the tournament, the amounts from the previous edition serve as a clear reference. In the most recent Caribbean Series, the prizes were distributed only among the top three teams.

  • First place: $145,000
  • Second place: $90,000
  • Third place: $45,000

Based on these numbers, the 2026 Caribbean Series champion is expected to receive a similar figure, always subject to adjustments according to sponsorship and event revenue. This money is distributed among the players on the championship roster, although in past editions there has been debate because the technical staff is not always included.

The prize money not only represents an extra income, but also recognition of the high competitive level of the tournament. For many players, especially those who play in winter leagues, this income makes an important difference at the end of the season.

In addition, the media impact of the Caribbean Series opens doors to international contracts, making the tournament a true global showcase.

How is the prize money distributed?

According to the regulations, the amount is divided among the players of the winning team, although this rule has been questioned for not including coaches and support staff. Even so, the prize remains one of the most attractive in regional baseball.

2026 Caribbean Series: venue and official dates

The 2026 edition will be played at the Estadio Panamericano de Jalisco, in Zapopan, from Sunday, February 1 to Saturday, February 7. Mexico will host the tournament after the CBPC reassigned the venue, also granting a second berth to the host country.

Featured match schedule

  • Sunday, February 1: Tournament opening
  • Friday, February 6: Third place and semi-finals
  • Saturday, February 7: 2026 Caribbean Series Grand Final

Historically, Mexico and the Dominican Republic are the main contenders for the title and, therefore, for the major economic prize. However, tournaments like this tend to leave room for surprises, which keeps the expectation alive until the last out.
