According to David Schoenfield, an ESPN analyst, the Toronto Blue Jays shortstop is highly likely to become a New York Yankees player in a move that could redefine the Bronx infield for the next few seasons.
Bichette, who turns 28 in March, is one of the best free agents available and, according to Schoenfield, would sign with the Yankees on a five-year, $150 million contract. While the journalist does not rule out a continuation in Toronto or a move to the Mets, he says “all the signs” point to New York.
