Alex Rodriguez stuns as a hero after sinking an impossible shot in a sport that’s not his strong suit

Alex Rodriguez is best known for his legendary 22-year MLB career, where he dominated the baseball diamond and cemented himself as one of the sport’s all-time greats. However, it turns out A-Rod’s skills go beyond baseball, he can also sink an incredible shot when it matters most.

The MLB legend was at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for a special forum with entrepreneur and Bucknell alumnus Marc Lore. The two, who are in the process of purchasing a controlling stake in the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, were there to inspire students. But in the process, Rodriguez pulled off something unbelievable, something that likely changed one student’s life forever.

A-Rod’s Unbelievable Moment

During Sunday’s game against Army, Rodriguez took center court and drilled a half-court shot, winning $10,000 for one lucky Bucknell student. The moment was pure electricity as A-Rod immediately sprinted toward the student section, celebrating like he just hit a walk-off homer in Game 7 of the World Series.

The fortunate student, a Philadelphia native, was overwhelmed with gratitude. After the shot, he told Rodriguez and Lore that the prize money would go toward helping his parents pay for his tuition, an emotional moment that added even more weight to the incredible feat.

A Life-Changing Shot

Rodriguez and Lore had decided beforehand that they would compete on behalf of a student, according to the school. The stakes were high, and A-Rod delivered when it mattered most, just like the old times.

Despite the excitement at Bucknell, the duo still had business to attend to. They managed to hop on a plane in time to be at Target Center that same night, as the Timberwolves hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder. It marked their first public appearance since winning an arbitration case that allows them to move forward with their purchase of the Timberwolves.
