Just a few days before the big fight between Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull, a heartfelt tribute to the Mexican fighter is getting all the attention.
Hair stylist José Eduardo Santiago is in charge of caring for and cutting Canelo’s hair. During his visit to his salon, the middleweight champion left an autograph on his leg.
This situation was shared by the barber on his official Instagram account @jayroystylez where, in a short video, you can see how the 34-year-old boxer stamps his signature on his leg, accompanying other tattoos that Santiago already had. “Official Team @canelo Barber” he wrote.
The impact of an autograph
This not only left the barber happy, but the video quickly went viral and demonstrated the trust they have in each other.
Because of his skill and talent, great personalities have passed through Santiago’s barbershop, such as singer Anuel AA, to mention just one example, but Canelo has taken all the affection and admiration of Jose Eduardo. Well, wearing someone’s signature on your skin is no small thing.
Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull
Canelo will attempt to defeat his Cuban opponent and unify all the super middleweight world championships for the second time. In addition, Alvarez will be wearing his WBC, WBA and WBO belts, while Scull will be wearing his IBF belt.
William has an undefeated record with 23 wins, 9 of them by KO and holds the IBF super middleweight world championship. Canelo, on the other hand, has a 62-2-2 record and holds the WBC and WBO super middleweight world title.
What can we expect from the fight?
Knowing his opponent’s strengths and weaknesses, Scull is sure of one thing: he won’t go for the knockout.
“I want to go out there and enjoy it and see what happens. He’s never been knocked out and maybe he’ll get knocked out, but I don’t know,” he told DAZN. “I’m working for a big 12-round fight,” he closed.
