Yankees players angry? Details of their meeting after fifth straight loss revealed

Not even Aaron Judge has been able to escape the crisis the Yankees are experiencing, as the Bronx Bombers have gone three games without scoring. In fact, they have gone five games without being able to get a win, so the players have decided to meet with the intention of improving their results. Judge’s performance is noteworthy, as he is 3-for-24 in his last seven games, with 15 strikeouts, and his control in the zone has vanished.

Their most recent defeat to the Angels, where the final score was 0-4, set off alarm bells in the Bronx, which is why the players had a closed-door meeting. What is most surprising to MLB experts is that the Yankees lead several offensive statistics, so they should be getting good results.

And while it’s true that shutouts are common in baseball, the Yankees’ situation is beginning to look critical, as the Bronx Bombers have failed to score a run in 29 innings.

What did the Yankees players say?

Cody Bellinger revealed some of the things the Yankees players talked about after their loss to Los Angeles; the outfielder downplayed the matter, as he revealed that what the New York players need is to “remember who we are and keep our focus.”

Although he also acknowledged that they are stuck, he downplayed it by saying that it is a “small bump,” yet he stressed that he has confidence in each of the members of the team.

Austin Wells, the Yankees catcher, also spoke about the issue and, like Cody Bellinger, downplayed the Yankees’ shutouts, as he said: “I think it’s a little more prominent because it’s back-to-back games, but I think it’s just baseball.”

Yankees statistics

In this MLB season, the Yankees lead the league in runs scored with 370, as well as 1,093 total bases, 109 home runs, 356 RBIs, 286 walks and OPS (.784). In addition, the team is batting .164 and has not hit a single home run in 70 innings, except for Judge. Perhaps the loss of Jake Cousins has affected them, but the truth is that the Yankees’ numbers are about to make history, but in a negative way.
