The 2025 WTA Finals in Riyadh have delivered the spectacle everyone was hoping for – and now it all comes down to a thrilling final between Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina, two of the most powerful hitters on the WTA Tour.

The title match is set to decide not only who takes home the record-breaking prize money but also who ends the season as the Queen of the WTA Tour.

The Road to the Final

Both Sabalenka and Rybakina have fought through tough opposition to reach this stage.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Coco Gauff in straight sets (7-6, 6-2) in the semifinals after an impressive round-robin run that included wins over Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys. The Belarusian has shown her trademark aggression and mental resilience all week.

Elena Rybakina took down Amanda Anisimova and Jessica Pegula on her way to the championship match. The Kazakh star’s huge serve and composed baseline play have made her one of the most consistent performers of the season.

When and where to watch the final

  • Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
  • Venue: King Saud University Indoor Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
  • Surface: Indoor hard court
  • Start Time: 8:00 PM local time in Riyadh (12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT / 6:00 PM CET)

TV & Streaming:

  • Tennis Channel (USA)
  • WTA TV and Amazon Prime Video (international streaming)

This is the second edition of the WTA Finals in Riyadh, part of a three-year deal that brought the women’s season finale to Saudi Arabia, with record total prize money of $12.4 million.

The rivalry between Sabalenka and Rybakina has become one of the most compelling in women’s tennis.

They have met eight times on tour, with Sabalenka leading 5-3. Their most famous clash came at the 2023 Australian Open final, where Sabalenka won in three sets.

This time, Rybakina seeks revenge on a similar surface and under indoor conditions that perfectly suit her flat, penetrating groundstrokes.

The winner of the 2025 WTA Finals will take home $3.5 million, the biggest single prize in women’s tennis, along with 1,500 WTA ranking points – a massive boost heading into the 2026 season.

This is also a historic opportunity: no previous champion from Riyadh has defended the title, so the winner will etch her name as the first Riyadh WTA Finals champion of a new era.
