William Zepeda and Tevin Farmer will face each other again tomorrow, March 29, 2025, this time in Cancun, Mexico, in a rematch that all boxing fans are looking forward to.

Zepeda will put his WBC interim lightweight championship on the line, while Farmer will look to redeem his loss in the first matchup.

High-voltage rematch

In November 2024, Zepeda and Farmer met for the first time in Saudi Arabia, in what was a close fight that ended with a controversial result, as Zepeda took the victory by split decision after 10 rounds.

The Mexican was favored by two of the judges, with scorecards of 95-94, while the third judge gave the victory to Farmer with the same score. The controversy over who really won left the door open for this rematch.

Who is the favorite?

William Zepeda goes into this fight as the heavy favorite. His aggressive style, along with an impressive knockout streak, makes him the strongest contender.

“Camaron” Zepeda (32-0-0, 27 KOs), is looking to extend his dominance in the lightweight division and defend his WBC interim title. With the extension to 12 rounds, Zepeda has an advantage, as his ability to wear down his opponents makes him even more dangerous.

On the other hand, Farmer (33-7-1, 8 KOs), who has significant boxing experience, goes into the fight with a 3-2 record in his last five fights, and although he is not the favorite, he will look to take advantage of his defensive ability and surprise Zepeda with his experience in the ring.

Farmer is coming off two consecutive losses, the first against Raymond Muratalla in July 2024, and then the first edition of his rivalry against Zepeda.

The first meeting between the two was one of the most exciting fights of 2024, but the doubt about who really won remained in the air.

Now, with 12 rounds ahead, the rematch promises to be even more intense. Zepeda will look to use his power and agility to impose himself, while Farmer will try to prove that he can turn the tables.

Fight details

The rematch will be tomorrow Saturday, March 29, 2025, with the live broadcast beginning at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time in the United States, and the event will be held at the Poliforum Benito Juarez in Cancun.

In addition to the main fight, the card will feature several high-level bouts, promising an unforgettable night for boxing fans.

Who completes the function of this rematch from Cancun?

In addition to the fight between Zepeda and Farmer, there will be other exciting matchups on the night:

  • William Zepeda vs. Tevin Farmer – 12 rounds for the WBA Continental Americas lightweight title.
  • Oscar Collazo vs. Edwin Cano – 12 rounds for the WBO minimumweight world title.
  • Yokasta Valle vs. Marlen Esparza – 10 rounds in the women’s flyweight division.
