Will the Dodgers become the new MLB dynasty after the New York Yankees?

The Los Angeles Dodgers franchise is no longer just one of baseball’s elite teams in the country, as they are starting to look like a proper dynasty in the making. Having achieved consecutive World Series titles and another deep postseason run, fans and analysts are beginning to draw parallels and similarities between the Dodgers and the New York Yankees, the most famous franchise Major League Baseball.

According to ClutchPoints, the Dodgers’ current run of dominance has many believing that they are transforming into the modern-day Yankees. Their philosophy is not just about winning, it is about how they win. It is not the result, it is how you obtain the result. For example, they are now looking for a mix of talent, organizational depth, and consistency in order to be a real contender for everything.

Steps toward greatness

At the heart of their success lies a simple formula: talent, culture, and leadership. The Dodgers have built one of the deepest rosters in baseball, combining homegrown players like Mookie Betts and Will Smith with big signings such as Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. This balance between long-term planning and big player acquisitions mirrors the Yankees’ approach during their late-1990s dynasty years.

Manager Dave Roberts has also been instrumental in spreading a winning culture. His approach and confident leadership have kept Los Angeles grounded despite constant comparisons to past dynasties.

The Yankees comparison

The old Yankees were known not just for their championships, but for the aura that surrounded them. The Dodgers, in many ways, have now inherited that identity and reminds of how the Yankees looked back in the day. They are always the favorites.

Their financial power also plays a big role, allowing them to outspend most teams, and with their player development system, Dodgers are confirming a good present and future. For their rivals, there are many things they can learn from the Los Angeles team.

Still, not everyone is ready to call the Dodgers a baseball dynasty just yet. For many purists, the label requires a third World Series title, doing the the same the Yankees did to cement their dominance in the late ’90s with three rings in four years.

But whether or not they accomplish that challenge, nobody can deny what Los Angeles are building. The Dodgers have become the benchmark for success in the modern MLB era, becoming a team with both the resources and desires to stay at the top.
