Vitinha delights PSG fans with magician moves before a big game

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha was enjoying his warm up before facing Le Havre AC, a team they beat 1-0.

PSG continued a remarkable trend this weekend, maintaining its perfect away record in the 21st century.

Since 2000, Les Rouge et Bleu have traveled to Le Havre five times in Ligue 1 and emerged victorious on each occasion, a level of consistency they have not matched against any other opponent on the road.

A striking dominance

The dominance is just as striking from Le Havre’s perspective. There is no other team in Ligue 1 that Les Ciel et Marine have hosted as frequently in that span without collecting a single point. The matchup has become one-sided whenever PSG visits the Stade Océane, reinforcing the capital club’s authority in this fixture.

The result also fits into a broader pattern for PSG this season. In the 2025-26 campaign, the Paris side is the only club across Europe‘s top five leagues to have won every game against teams currently positioned in the bottom half of their domestic table. While many title contenders have dropped points in potential trap games, PSG has avoided that pitfall entirely.

Luis Enrique‘s squad has combined control with persistence in attack. Paris has struck the woodwork 15 times in Ligue 1 this season, at least three more than any other team in the French top flight. Two of those instances came in the latest meeting with Le Havre, and it marked the fourth league match this season in which PSG hit the post or crossbar more than once, the highest such total in the division. Despite those near misses, the overall production has remained strong.

PSG has shown a lot of resilience

The team’s resilience has also been evident in scheduling. PSG has won each of its last five Ligue 1 matches played immediately after a UEFA Champions League fixture, an indicator of depth and consistency during a congested calendar.

Individually, several players have continued to build momentum. Bradley Barcola has added a new dimension to his game, scoring his last two goals with headers. That equals the number of headed goals he recorded across his previous 40 professional appearances, underscoring a clear development in his attacking skill set.

Lee Kang-in has been particularly effective against Le Havre. The South Korean midfielder has now been involved in four Ligue 1 goals against the club, scoring twice and providing two assists, his best output against a single top-flight opponent.
