Vanessa Trump made quite an impression during a recent outing in the Hamptons, where her presence sparked widespread curiosity.
The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. was trailed by a high-profile security presence that had Southampton buzzing all weekend.
Spotted dining at the stylish new restaurant La Goulue Sur Mer, Vanessa was joined by her 18-year-old daughter Kai, an aspiring golfer herself.
Onlookers couldn’t help but notice the sheer scale of the security convoy that accompanied them, with sources describing at least six black SUVs and multiple Secret Service agents parked and patrolling the area.
“They had six black SUVs of Secret Service in tow,” a source told Page Six. Another guest noted that the agents were courteous and even handed out small flag pins to others waiting outside the restaurant.
While their presence was impossible to ignore, diners described the atmosphere as surprisingly relaxed, despite the impressive perimeter of protection.
A shopping trip under watchful eyes
Later that day, Vanessa was seen strolling through Southampton’s Main Street with Kai, her son Donald III and daughter Chloe. Also tagging along was her sister Veronika Haydon. The group made stops at several stores, including the luxury swimwear boutique Everything But Water, while their security team kept close.
Eyewitnesses described agents trailing the family from shop to shop. One onlooker commented: “Secret Service agents were flooding into the fudge shop buying candy and licorice. They were everywhere. It felt like every part of the block had an agent.” Though it may have felt overwhelming, the number of agents was reportedly under ten.
While Vanessa herself does not receive Secret Service protection, her children do as a standard arrangement for the grandchildren of US President Donald Trump. According to a March report from The New York Times, all of Trump‘s immediate family, including his grandchildren, currently receive security coverage.
Sources speculate the large contingent may have been a precautionary measure to accommodate the possibility that the group would split into smaller parties while shopping.
Relationship with Woods becomes harder to ignore
The attention surrounding Vanessa in the Hamptons wasn’t limited to her security team. Her relationship with golf superstar Tiger Woods has also become a growing source of public interest. The pair reportedly began dating last year, and sources now describe the romance as “wedding bells serious.”
Although the couple has remained largely private, Vanessa’s recent public appearances suggest she is gradually stepping back into the spotlight. And with Kai‘s rising profile in the golf world and her mother’s reported relationship with one of the sport’s all-time greats, the Trump family’s ties to golf appear to be strengthening.
