Usyk invites Trump to his home in Ukraine: “This way he will see how missiles fly every night”

Oleksandr Usyk, world heavyweight champion and owner of three belts (WBC, WBA and WBO), has invited Donald Trump to see first-hand what happens every night in Ukraine since it was invaded by Russia. Usyk sent a direct message to the former president of the United States during an interview with CNN Sports: “Donald Trump, please open your eyes, help my people”.

The Ukrainian champion reminded Trump of his promise in the election campaign: “He should be responsible for his words. He said that in one day he would stop this war. He is not responsible for his words. Why does he speak?”

Usyk went further and offered his home for the US president to see what is happening in Ukraine: “I will give him my house and my security guards. I will guarantee his complete safety. Let him live in my house for a week and see how the missiles fly over and how people live in Ukraine.Every night there are bombs and flights over my house. Bombs, missiles. Every night.”

“Let him come and live for a week, not just a day, but let him come in secret so that no one knows that he has arrived,” added Usyk, while expressing his conviction that if Putin knows he is in the country, he will stop his attacks.

When asked if Trump would change his mind about the war in his homeland, Usyk is unsure: “I don’t know. Maybe he understands, maybe he doesn’t. The Ukrainian people are dying. Not only military, but also children, women, grandmothers and grandfathers. For me it is difficult. I am worried about what is happening in my country”

A month ago, he addressed Trump during peace talks between Washington, Kiev and Moscow to show his disappointment at

the idea that Ukraine should have to give up some of its territory. “It’s nonsense. What Russia is doing, everyone knows. Why are they taking over my country?Listen, President Trump, please open your eyes”:

Usyk was in London when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, but when Russian tanks approached Kiev, he returned and joined the Territorial Defense Forces in the capital. Now, the Ukrainian is preparing for his July 19 fight against Daniel Dubois for the undisputed world heavyweight title. Britain’s Dubois is the International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion, while Usyk holds the WBA (Super), WBO and WBC belts.
