Tyreek Hill’s mysterious tweet sparks buzz after Dolphins’ GM shakeup

Changes at the Miami Dolphins have come in rapid succession. They’ve been so swift that even Tyreek Hill, a.k.a. “Cheetah,” seems caught off guard-his terse reaction to the hiring of the team’s new general manager, Jon-Eric Sullivan, made that clear.

The Dolphins’ 2025 season was a nightmare. Inconsistent performances left the team with a 7-10 record, salvaged only by a late surge in the second half of the season.

The disappointing finish triggered immediate fallout, with general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel both dismissed.

Owner Stephen M. Ross moved quickly to fill the GM vacancy, hiring Sullivan away from the Green Bay Packers. Hill, however, doesn’t appear entirely convinced by the move.

What does Tyreek think about Sullivan’s arrival?

Hill is currently recovering from a dislocated knee suffered in Week 4, which required surgery to repair severe tendon damage.

Despite his absence from the field, Hill has remained engaged with team developments. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the star wide receiver appeared to respond to Sullivan’s hiring with a single word: “hm.”

He offered no further explanation, but the timing of the post strongly suggests it was a reaction to the Dolphins’ front-office shakeup. For now, only Hill knows the true meaning behind the cryptic message.

Who is Jon-Eric Sullivan?

The Dolphins’ new general manager brings 22 years of NFL experience, all with the Green Bay Packers. Sullivan began his career as an intern and worked his way up to vice president of player personnel.

Reports indicate Sullivan had been actively pursuing a GM role, even reaching out to three teams last year to inquire about openings.

He ultimately beat out Champ Kelly, Chad Alexander of the Chargers, and Josh Williams of the 49ers for the Dolphins’ job. His immediate challenges include hiring a new head coach and earning the trust of key players-starting with Tyreek Hill.
