Tyreek Hill took to Instagram this week to announce a major “Close Out SALE Event” for his motivational athletic wear brand, Soul Runner, located at the Aventura Mall in Miami.
The announcement, which invited fans to the store’s entrance near Bloomingdale’s and the Cheesecake Factory, confirmed that Hill will be present this Friday to sign items purchased in-store. The event serves as a final farewell for the physical retail space, which first opened its doors as a high-profile pop-up in August 2022.
The store’s closure coincides with a pivotal and difficult juncture in Hill‘s professional career. After 10 seasons in the NFL, the 32-year-old wide receiver currently finds himself without a team for the first time.
On February 16, the Miami Dolphins officially released the five-time All-Pro in a massive salary cap purge led by new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. The move saved the organization over $22 million in cap space but signaled the end of an era that saw Hill record two consecutive 1,700-yard seasons before a series of setbacks derailed his momentum.
Recovery and resilience
The urgency behind the store’s closing sale is underscored by the severe physical recovery Hill is currently navigating. His 2025 season came to a “gruesome” end in Week 4 during a Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Jets.
While attempting to plant his foot on a routine catch, Hill suffered a dislocated left knee and a torn ACL, an injury that required major reconstructive surgery. Despite the long road ahead, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, recently told reporters that the receiver is “on track” for a Week 1 return in 2026, though many league analysts remain skeptical of his ability to regain his signature elite speed at his age.
“Every chapter in life has taught me something. This one taught me leadership, resilience and mostly gratitude,” Hill shared in a recent statement following his release. “The Cheetah don’t slow down, ever.”
This mindset is the foundation of the Soul Runner brand, which Hill founded to honor a childhood pact made with friends to avoid gang life and pursue forward motion.
The Aventura Mall location was designed as an experiential space, featuring not just apparel like heavyweight hoodies and performance tanks, but also a dedicated zone for fitness classes.
