Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, spoke publicly for the first time about his engagement to Taylor Swift during Wednesday’s episode of his and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast on September 3.
The couple became engaged on Tuesday, August 26, after nearly two years of dating, and fans have been eager for insights into how the star athlete has been feeling since the announcement.
In addition to announcing her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl on her boyfriend’s show, Kelce then proposed to her in their backyard shortly after the recording concluded, creating a personal and memorable moment for the couple.
During the episode, Jason asked Travis about his thoughts following the engagement, and while he did not reveal specifics about their wedding plans, he offered a playful teaser regarding the event.
“Oh, it’s gonna go crazy,” Kelce assured his brother and listeners, providing a glimpse of excitement without divulging details. “We’re gonna see how it all shakes out. I don’t wanna put them at a table that they wouldn’t mesh with.”
The three-time Super Bowl champion also admitted he had not considered his bachelor party and remained uncertain about whether show producers might receive invitations to the wedding.
However, according to reports, Kelce and Swift have not yet begun planning the ceremony, suggesting the couple is still in the early stages of organizing their nuptials.

“It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
The full episode of New Heights will be released on Thursday, September 4 though the teaser already gave fans a first glimpse into Kelce’s perspective and excitement about his future with Swift.
