The German striker quickly became a key player for the Canadian side, his adaptation was immediate and the results were more than positive for this season as, although the Whitecaps lost the final against Inter Miami, finishing as the second best in MLS is a more than acceptable result considering that last season Vancouver finished in eighth position in the Western Conference with 47 points.

Thomas Muller confirms his continuity in Vancouver

The Vancouver Whitecaps came within a whisker of the title after losing 3-1 in the MLS final to Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi. However, far from showing any doubts or thinking about early retirement, Thomas Muller confirmed that he will stay for another year, news that excites fans in Canada and also followers of the league in the United States.

In a video shared on Instagram, the German reflected on what he has experienced in recent months and made it clear that his story in MLS is far from over. “It was a difficult night, but also a good night. Because now I can reflect a little bit on what has happened in the last four months,” Muller said, showing a mixture of pride and nostalgia for the path he has traveled.

Our Time Is Not Over Yet

With that phrase, the veteran striker confirmed his stay in Vancouver and sent a message of commitment to both the fans and his teammates.

The German stressed that despite the blow of losing the final, the season was full of valuable moments. For him, the growth of the team and the connection with the fans outweighs the final score. “I’m focusing more on us and what we’ve achieved this season. I’m really excited about what next year holds for us,” he added.

Good news for MLS

Although Müller avoided going into detail about the club’s plans, he did make it clear that the goal is to get back into the title fight. First will come the holidays, which are necessary to recharge the batteries and start from scratch: “We’ll see each other again after the holidays. We need them. We’ve earned them.”

Thomas Müller’s continuity with the Whitecaps is good news not only for Vancouver, but also for MLS in general, as the North American league benefits from having players of the German striker’s stature and relevance.

Before closing his video, Müller gave a nod to the fans and the club’s project: “We’ll try again. Let’s go, Whitecaps!“. 2026 promises to be a key year for soccer in North America, and Müller wants to be part of that story.
