The Belgian star was asked which teammate he would choose to survive an apocalypse, and his answer quickly made the rounds among supporters.
Courtois said he would pick defender Dani Carvajal if the world were coming to an end. His reasoning was practical. The goalkeeper explained that survival would require someone he could live with and rely on day to day, adding that Carvajal‘s personality and leadership qualities would help with direction and decision-making in extreme circumstances.

He also offered an alternative depending on the goal. If survival were less important than enjoying the final days, Courtois joked that he would choose Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé. According to Courtois, the two attackers would guarantee entertainment until the very end, a nod to their dynamic presence both on and off the pitch.
The exchange came as Real Madrid turns its focus back to competition. The club returns Saturday to the Santiago Bernabéu, where it has won 10 of 11 matches in the current league campaign. Arbeloa‘s squad hosts Real Sociedad on Matchday 24 with the objective of securing an eighth consecutive league victory.
