The WBC has ordered Shakur Stevenson to defend his lightweight title against number one contender William Zepeda. The organization has given them an ultimatum of 30 days to reach an agreement, if they do not, a purse bid would be held on May 6.

“I’m still champion and I’m not retiring from anything. If we can’t reach an agreement, then it will be by purse bid.”
