Dennis “The Worm” Rodman is a figure who shattered every mold in the NBA starting in the late 1980s. In the following decade, he would establish himself as one of the league’s great players.

But his impact did not stop there. With the controversial and unique style that defines him, he also made his way into WWE, leaving behind unforgettable, extraordinary, and truly one-of-a-kind moments inside the wrestling ring.

He joined the Chicago Bulls to once again help His Airness, Michael Jordan, pursue another championship ring. It may not have seemed like the most conventional move for the Windy City team, but his talent on the court was undeniable.

The somewhat somber atmosphere surrounding the Bulls was transformed with the spark that Rodman brought, energizing his teammates through his actions and behavior both on and off the court.

Dennis Rodman to enter the WWE Hall of Fame

In 2011, despite criticism and skepticism, he was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Many may not have wanted to see him there, but when evaluating purely his performance on the court, there was no denying his place among the greats.

Now, on Friday, March 20, 2026, Shams Charania reported that the former Chicago Bulls star will be inducted next April into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame.

Rodman spent 14 years in the NBA and won five championships during that time. Simultaneously, he was building a presence in professional wrestling. His debut came in 1997 as part of the nWo.

There is a well-known anecdote that generated significant controversy at the time. During the 1998 NBA Finals, he skipped a team practice to appear on WCW Monday Nitro alongside Hulk Hogan.

These are some of the names associated with his wrestling persona:

  • Diamond
  • Dallas Page
  • Macho Man
  • Randy Savage
  • Lex Luger

Later on, the now NBA legend made appearances in i-Generation Superstars of Wrestling and All Elite.

The event where he will be enshrined as a wrestling immortal will take place on April 17, 2026, in Las Vegas.

Rodman is now 64 years old and continues to enjoy life as he did in his 20s, 30s, and 40s.

That disruptive and unmistakable style he possesses is something very few, if any, have ever been able to replicate in the world of the NBA, making his legacy not only enduring but also unique across multiple realms of professional sports and entertainment, where his influence still resonates strongly today.
