This past Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Fanatics Flag Football Classic took place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Several past and present NFL stars gathered at the venue for the event, which drew significant attention from fans and media alike.

While heading to the stadium, Antoine Winfield Jr.’s fiancée, Teresa Mpagi, witnessed a traffic accident involving a woman who was struck by a car. The victim was traveling to the event with friends and family on a bus when the incident occurred during the journey.

Teresa Mpagi quickly stepped in to help the injured woman

According to information from Adam Schefter, citing multiple witnesses at the scene, Teresa immediately got off the bus she was riding and ran toward the injured woman to assist her.

As emergency services were on their way, Mpagi stayed by the victim’s side, holding her hand and offering reassurance. She also contacted the woman’s husband, providing him with updates while comforting the victim during a distressing moment.

A woman was hit by a car, prompting immediate action: Winfield’s fiancée leaped off the bus without hesitation to provide aid, staying by the victim’s side, holding her hand, calling her husband for support and offering comfort until emergency vehicles arrived.

Schefter also noted that EAG Sport staff members Alexandra García and Cecilia Madrid were present, assisting Teresa in supporting the injured woman following the accident.

Winfield’s fiancée didn’t stop there; she rode in the ambulance to the hospital alongside the injured woman, ensuring she wasn’t alone during the ordeal.

Antoine Winfield is a safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and entered the NFL as the 45th overall pick in 2020. He was part of a championship-winning team during his tenure.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain cautious in free agency

The 2026 free agency period is well underway, with several teams making significant moves. However, the Buccaneers appear to be taking a more measured approach, showing little urgency. These are the moves made so far by the team:

  • Alex Anzalone: Arrives from the Lions on a two-year, $17 million deal to lead the middle of the defense
  • Kenneth Gainwell: Signed for two years and $14 million after his time in Pittsburgh; expected to take over as the primary running back following White’s departure
  • A’Shawn Robinson: Added to strengthen the defensive line on a one-year, $10 million contract
  • Al-Quadin Muhammad: Brings veteran presence in pass rush situations one year, $4 million
  • Jake Browning: Signed to a one-year deal as backup to Baker Mayfield
  • Miles Killebrew: Special teams specialist joining for one season

Meanwhile, these are the departures the franchise has experienced

  • Mike Evans : The most impactful loss, joining the San Francisco 49ers on a three-year, $60.4 million contract.
  • Rachaad White: Heads to the Washington Commanders on a one-year deal.
  • Jamel Dean: Signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers for three years and $36.75 million.
  • Logan Hall: Moved to the Houston Texans on a two-year agreement.
  • Christian Izien: Signed with the Detroit Lions.
  • J.T. Gray: Joined the Philadelphia Eagles.
  • Teddy Bridgewater: Departed for the Detroit Lions.
