The embarrassing moment when a Celtics fan tried to physically restrain Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry remains sidelined due to the injuries that have been affecting him. The Golden State Warriors superstar has now missed several games, and that has clearly frustrated him. When you add another loss to the equation, the irritation becomes even more noticeable.

The latest game came against the Boston Celtics, ending in a 120-99 defeat. The scoreline itself reflects the complete dominance of the Eastern Conference team over its Western rivals. Without their key warriors on the court, Golden State had little chance to respond.

TD Arena, as is customary, backed the home team with all the energy that defines the venue. Beyond the result, however, what drew attention was an incident involving a fan that only worsened Curry’s mood.

A fan is ejected after interacting with Stephen Curry

In the NBA, there is a rule that prohibits fans from having physical contact with players. Anyone who attempts to do so is immediately removed from the arena, setting a precedent to discourage others from repeating such behavior.

At least, that is the league’s intention, but there is always a fan who fails to understand. Whether driven by excitement at being close to a favorite player or by a desire to provoke, some individuals cross the line and engage in prohibited contact.

That is exactly what happened with a fan at TD Arena. However, this individual went further by forcefully grabbing Stephen Curry by the arm as he was heading toward the locker room.

As expected, Steph appeared visibly upset by the action. The person holding his arm did not allow him to move freely, prompting security personnel to quickly intervene and separate the individual from the player.

In a video shared by the account @KyleCelt33, Curry can be seen shaking his head in disapproval. Meanwhile, the individual responsible for the incident was escorted out of the arena.

This situation adds to the team’s poor results and Curry’s own struggles, as he has only been able to participate in 39 of the 69 games played. Since January 30, he has not returned to the court, though a comeback is expected by the end of March 2026.

The team clearly needs him. Since his absence from the lineup, the Warriors have posted a 6-13 record, which has caused them to drop positions in the Western Conference standings.

If this trend continues, they could even lose their place in the play-in tournament, further complicating their postseason aspirations.
