F.C. Barcelona will play with the logo of Play, Ed Sheeran’s eighth studio album, on the shirt that will be worn in the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 26, 2025.

The program ‘Tu diras’, presented by Aleix Parise on RAC1, reports that the logo and the letters, in yellow, will be located in the same place that other artists have occupied on the Barca shirt.

An image of Ed Sheeran wearing a Nike T-shirt with the Play logo and the Barcelona badge has already been leaked on social media.

The different fate that befell Barcelona against Real Madrid with the artists who preceded Ed Sheeran on their shirts

Ed Sheeran follows in the footsteps of other artists such as Drake, Rosalia, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay and Travis Scott who have ‘signed’ for Barça to appear on their shirt.

So far, Barcelona’s signing of international artists to play in El Clasico has had mixed fortunes in terms of results: three wins (Rosalia, Coldplay and Travis Scott) and three defeats (Drake, Karol G and Rolling Stones).

Ed Sheeran is a big football fan and co-owner of Ipswich Town

Ed Sheeran’s ‘signing’ for Barcelona’s shirt to play against Real Madrid coincides with the release of his album ‘Play’.

Ed Sheeran is a big football fan and is a self-confessed Ipswich Town fan. In 2024, he acquired a minority stake of 1.4% in Ipswich Town.

“Being an Ipswich supporter is a joy. There are ups and downs, but in football you have to accept that. I’m not a voting shareholder or a member of the board, I’m just putting some money into the club I love and it’s giving back to me, so don’t ask me for suggestions on signings or tactics,” Sheeran joked.
