The Chiefs are asking fans to give Travis Kelce a send-off in what could be his final season

The Kansas City Chiefs are entering the final stretch of the NFL season facing unfamiliar uncertainty.

After dominating the AFC for much of the past decade, the defending standard-bearers find themselves fighting to remain relevant in the playoff race.

With that playing out, the organization has shifted part of its focus toward celebrating a cornerstone of its modern success: Travis Kelce.

Kansas City arrives at Week 15 with a 6-7 record, having dropped three of its last four games. Under head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs have not missed the postseason in years, but this campaign has tested that streak.

Even with elite talent such as quarterback Patrick Mahomes and longtime star tight end Kelce, consistency has been elusive on both sides of the ball.

Against that challenging backdrop, the franchise made a public appeal that carried emotional weight. The official Chiefs social media account encouraged fans to rally behind Kelce in Pro Bowl voting, posting: “Get our TEs to the PB. Cast your Pro Bowl vote and retweet.”

Fellow tight end Noah Gray was also included in the message, but the spotlight clearly centered on the veteran who has helped define an era in Kansas City.

A legacy that extends beyond the current season

Now in his 13th season with the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce has built a résumé that places him among the most accomplished tight ends in NFL history.

During his tenure, Kansas City has captured three Super Bowl titles and five AFC championships, achievements that coincided with Kelce’s rise as one of the league’s most reliable postseason performers.

While speculation has grown that this season could be his last, Kelce has continued to produce.

Through 13 games, he has recorded 60 receptions for 727 yards and five touchdowns. Though those numbers fall short of some of his previous peaks, they remain significant within an offense that has struggled to find rhythm.

Beyond the stat sheet, Kelce’s influence extends well outside the stadium.

His “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, has become a major media success, offering insight into NFL life while reaching audiences far beyond traditional football fans.

His high-profile relationship with global pop star Taylor Swift has further elevated his visibility, making him one of the most recognizable athletes in American sports.

For the Chiefs, the Pro Bowl push appears to represent more than just accolades.

It reads as a gesture of appreciation toward a player whose contributions helped transform the franchise into a perennial contender. With Kansas City’s playoff hopes hanging by a thread, honoring Kelce now carries more significance.

Whether this season proves to be his last remains uncertain. What is clear, however, is that the Kansas City Chiefs are inviting their fanbase to acknowledge the possibility, and to ensure that if this chapter is nearing its end, Kelce receives a send-off that he deserves.
