Crawford looked at home while fighting Alvarez at 168 pounds. Many expected Canelo to have the advantage due to Crawford moving up two weight classes, but Bud looked strong and comfortable with the added weight. That has many wondering if he will stay in the division for his next fight. But will there even be a next fight?
Terence Crawford says his future is “up in the air”
Crawford recently appeared on the All The Smoke Fight podcast with Andre Ward and delivered a personal update on his boxing future. At this moment in time, everything is “up in the air”, according to the boxer himself.
To be honest, I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Like I said, everything is up in the air right now. I’m just enjoying my family, enjoying being able to say, ‘Look what I accomplished.’ I’m just chilling, right now, I haven’t even got the time to sit down with my team and talk with them. I talked with my family. I know what my family want. But you know, it’s a team effort.
The comment about what his family wants is certainly intriguing. His family likely would prefer for Crawford to ride off into the sunset following a legacy-cementing victory which he came out of fully healthy. But it’s not that easy for a boxer to just hang up the gloves. Crawford is likely hungry for more.
