Taylor Swift is stepping into her latest era with a glittering look and some personal revelations. The global pop star appeared on The Graham Norton Show this week, filmed in London just ahead of the release of her highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Swift stunned viewers in a black halter-neck mini dress adorned with crystals, valued at $1,875. The outfit was paired with dangling earrings, her trademark bold red lipstick, and the sparkling centerpiece on her hand: a diamond engagement ring from fiance and NFL star Travis Kelce, reportedly costing between $700,000 and $1 million.
Sitting alongside an A-list lineup that included Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi, Swift was in the spotlight not only for her new music but also for her engagement.
Swift recalls Kelce’s big surprise
During the interview, Swift revealed just how much thought Kelce put into his proposal.
“He really crushed it in surprising me,” she said. “While we were talking on his podcast he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in. He went all out – 10 out of 10.”
Asked about wedding details, Swift chose to keep fans guessing. “You’ll know,” she teased with a smile. She added that her first priority is to finish promoting her new record before diving into planning.
“I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan,” she noted.
The Life of a Showgirl: joy after heartbreak
Swift‘s latest album, out the same day her Graham Norton Show episode airs, was inspired by the whirlwind of emotions during her record-breaking Eras Tour.
“This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” she explained on the New Heights podcast with Kelce and his brother Jason.
While The Tortured Poet’s Department reflected the pain of her split with actor Joe Alwyn and her brief but widely discussed romance with Matty Healy, The Life of a Showgirl is expected to highlight the joy of performing around the globe and the love she found with Kelce.
Their relationship began when he publicly expressed interest after attending her Kansas City concert in July 2023, sparking a romance that has since become one of the most talked-about stories in both sports and pop culture.
