What began as a normal outing quickly turned awkward for Jason Kelce at the college football game where his brother Travis was being honored. As the game unfolded, Taylor Swift played a sly joke on her future brother in law: the beer in the suite wasn’t alcoholic. Midway through the thrid quarter, Kelce realized the truth, and the humiliation, as the prank went public in comic fashion.
Jason Kelce was stunned
Appearing on the podcast Bussin’ With The Boys, Jason recounted the embarassing moment:
So I’m drinking beer…enjoying beers…in the third quarter, I find out I’ve been drinking non-alcoholic beer the entire…most amount of shame I’ve ever felt in myself. I was like, ‘What the f–k is wrong with you, Jason!'”
He credited Taylor Swift for being the one to point it out, adding that Travis has been duped too, thinking they were enjoying regular Budweiser.
A family moment with Swift
Rather than taking offense, Kelce laughed off the blunder in typical self-deprecating fashion. Not only was it a moment of personal embarassment, but a playful family memory in the making.
Swift’s prank added a lightherted highlight to their first apperance at the Bearcats game as an engaged couple. Kelce’s storytelling brought smiles to fans across social media, affirming the unique bond, and good humor, between the future in-laws.
