Taylor Swift, who has just released her 12th studio album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, surprised during an interview on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast, inviting live to her wedding with Travis Kelce to the presenter Greg James, with whom she has a friendship of more than a decade.
The 35-year-old singer not only spoke about her new work, in which her boyfriend plays a central role as a source of inspiration, but also let herself be carried away by the emotion of this new stage. “He’s a very calm guy, you’re going to love him when you meet him,” she said of Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star.
The American artist also confessed that she used to show him the songs as soon as she returned from recording in Sweden: “I knew this was the kind of record he was going to like the most. He’s very understanding about everything, but he’s a kind of feelings guy”.
Greg James’ reaction to hearing he will attend Taylor Swift’s wedding: “Am I going?”
In the talk, James joked that he needed to meet the football player in person: “I feel like I have to check it out, I just need to play catch with him”. Swift replied with a laugh: “I would do it without a problem, I would love it. All my friends say, ‘I just want Travis to pick me up and throw me over a roof or into the pool'”.
It was then that the music star dropped the invitation to the wedding. “The way he’s going to do that is when he sees you at our wedding… that’s going to happen,” she said. James, surprised by the proposal asked: “Am I going to go?” To which Swift replied: “Of course. People don’t think we’re really friends.”
Despite this, the singer did not want to give more details about the exact location of the ceremony, although everything points to it being held at her mansion in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, where major renovations are taking place, according to Page Six.
