Taylor Swift recently made headlines for her solidarity with her coworkers, who received a generous bonus with a large sum of money.
In the same vein, the 14-time Grammy winner has decided to send seven-figure checks to several charities this holiday season.
Taylor opens her heart and her wallet
The fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has donated a large sum of money this week to various related organizations that work to promote values aligned with Swift’s.
Taylor donated $1 million to the American Heart Association in honor of her dad Scott Swift, who underwent quintuple bypass surgery in July of this year.
According to a press release, this donation “will help to advance ongoing scientific research, stronger prevention and treatment efforts, and expanded access to life-saving care for every community.”
In addition, the 36-year-old pop star donated another million to Feeding America, which fights hunger: “This holiday season, her continued support is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we unite to end hunger,” said CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot in a statement.
As if that weren’t enough, it was also revealed that the MusiCares recording academy received a “generous donation” from Taylor.
They assured that this money “will help support our vital programs, resources, & financial assistance for the music community in need,” as they wrote on Instagram alongside an illustration of their famous friendship bracelets that read “Thank you Taylor Swift.”
“Thank you Taylor for supporting our mission! We protect the family,” they concluded in a nod to her song “Father Figure.”
This is by no means the first time the pop star has made such donations, although she always stands out for doing so quietly.
Without a doubt, a great “Christmas gift” from Swift.
