Taylor Swift continues her generous donations ahead of wedding to Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift ended the holiday season by supporting causes in both Nashville and Kansas City, extending a pattern of generosity that has followed her for years and continues to touch people far beyond the stage.

The 36-year-old artist recently made a donation to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, deepening a long-standing relationship with the medical center.

Swift previously helped open Seacrest Studios at the hospital in 2016 and has paid personal visits to patients over the years, a connection hospital leaders say remains deeply meaningful.

“We are so grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous gifts to Monroe Carell,” Juan C. Salazar, MD, MPH, chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Health said in a statement published on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center website. “The gifts are so timely. We are also seeing continued increases in the number of patients and families who turn to us for care. This makes a difference for us all.”

The impact of Swift‘s donation was also highlighted by Debra Friedman, MD, MS, director of the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.

“The future of adolescent and young adult cancer research and care is full of progress and possibilities because of the generosity of donors like Taylor Swift,” Friedman said. “Her gift enables our teams to personalize cancer care for the unique challenges these patients face, leading to improved outcome.”

Swift‘s ties to the hospital stretch back nearly a decade. When radio host Ryan Seacrest opened a broadcast studio inside the facility in 2016, Swift surprised patients by attending the launch.

Reflecting on that day, Seacrest told People, “It was thrilling to have Taylor surprise the patients, which made the day of our first broadcast at Vanderbilt even more special.”

From large donations to personal moments of kindness

Her holiday giving extended beyond Nashville. In Kansas City, Swift also donated to Operation Breakthrough, a nonprofit that supports children and families facing poverty. The organization shared its gratitude on Instagram earlier this week.

“Thank you @taylorswift for supporting Operation Breakthrough. We are so grateful for your kindness and for championing creativity, education, and opportunity for our over 750 students!”

According to the nonprofit’s website, Operation Breakthrough “provides a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and empowers their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education.”

Swift‘s generosity in Kansas City followed a moment that drew widespread attention on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium, where she attended the Chiefs‘ game to support her fiance Travis Kelce. During the visit, she left a $600 tip for catering attendant Robyn Gentry, a gesture that later went viral after Gentry shared her emotional reaction.

Speaking with TMZ, Gentry explained that the timing made the moment especially powerful, coming shortly after the loss of her children’s grandmother.

“Everything is hard now. And so, I just wanted to to be able to give those kids the best Christmas possible,” Gentry said.

“She didn’t have to do that. That’s not something that she had to do for anybody. None of us had personally worked for her. Like, we weren’t even working for her. She didn’t have to do that for us.”

“She came toward me and said thank you so much for working on Christmas, please take this, Merry Christmas

“My whole paycheck for two weeks. I had just dropped that much for Christmas for eight kids.”
