More than a decade after their wedding on July 30, 2011, in the Charlotte church where they first met as teenagers, their bond is as strong as ever. The latest proof came in the form of Stephen’s touching birthday tribute to Ayesha.
Their love story wasn’t one of instant sparks. When they first met, Ayesha was 14 and Stephen 15, and she had a firm rule: no dating athletes. Years later, they reconnected in Los Angeles-she was pursuing acting, and he was already a Golden State Warriors star attending the ESPYs.
This time, Ayesha agreed to a date, though things didn’t progress smoothly at first. She even turned down Steph’s first attempt at a kiss. But he persisted, and 15 years later, he celebrated her birthday with a giant bouquet of roses.

Just a week after Ayesha wished him a happy birthday, it was Steph’s turn to celebrate hers. He shared a carousel of photos highlighting their 15 years together, accompanied by a moving message:

Steph praises Ayesha as a mother
The Warriors star also highlighted Ayesha’s devotion to their family. The couple share four children: Riley (13), Ryan (10), Canon (7), and Caius (2).
