Stephen A. Smith hilarious facial expression to Chad Johnson’s comment about what’s harder than hitting a baseball

Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter made headlines recently with his comments about the difficulty required to play as a cornerback and wide receiver in college football, and eventually, in the NFL.

According to the Colorado Buffaloes standout, what he did on the field is harder than what Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder/pitcher Shohei Ohtani does in the MLB, which is nothing short of spectacular.

“Probably me, what I do in football [is harder] because it is a lot on your body,” Hunter stated confidently. “Ohtani, he’s a great player, but you gotta do a lot in football.” His comments caused an interesting conversation in social media and in major TV shows.

Chad Johnson’s take on the matter

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was the latest guest for “First Take“, hosted by ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith and presenter Molly Qerim. This Monday, one of the topics was Travis Hunter‘s comments. NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe – who’s also a media personality – was also part of the conversation.

However, it was Ochocinco’s take made headlines. “It’s almost uncomparable. I gotta get Travis Hunter in a batting cage, not anybody pitching, just a machine. Let a fastball come at you 95 mph. As athletically gifted as you are, I want to see you try to hit it so you get a better understanding. The comparison is not even close.” said the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver.

“The two most difficult things in life are hitting a baseball and keeping a woman happy long term, the two most difficult things in life, you hear me?”, added Johnson. The hot take made Stephen A. Smith look at the former NFL player like he wast talking nonsense. Shannon Sharpe couldn’t help but laugh at the comment.

Travis Hunter is ready to make statement in the NFL

Travis Hunter is built different. A projected top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, he’s proven to be a rare two-way talent, dominating as both a lockdown cornerback and a dynamic wide receiver. It’s not every day you see a player excel on both sides of the ball at an elite level, but apparently Hunter isn’t just any player.

Knowing the stakes, Hunter has cranked up his training, determined to shine as the ultimate gem in next year’s draft. He’s not just going through the motions, he’s pushing himself harder, sharpening every skill to solidify his place as a top-tier prospect.

A new video shows Hunter engaged in intense offseason workouts, demonstrating refined footwork, increased explosiveness, and a focused training approach as he prepares for the next level.
