Shohei Ohtani and Alex Rodriguez were ghosted from a prestigious list: Fans responded furiously

Jayson Stark of The Athletic compiled his “Team of the Last Quarter Century,” a selection that pays tribute to the best of recent baseball. The list includes iconic figures such as Mike Trout and Aaron Judge, highlighting the legends who have left their mark on the MLB in recent years. However, Stark left out two names, sparking a debate on social media.

That’s right-neither Shohei Ohtani nor Alex Rodriguez made the cut!

Ohtani is a baseball sensation! With a .304 batting average and a 1.053 OPS, he is one of the best. His 17 home runs tie him with Schwarber and surpass Judge‘s. Not to mention his talent as a pitcher! He’s a three-time American League MVP and a member of the 50-50 club. How could he be left off a list like this?

Conversely, Alex Rodriguez, with his 696 home runs, over 3,000 hits, and three MVP awards, was excluded from the list. Fans are outraged by this snub of a legend who defined an era.

They are not alone in their outrage; the absence of other stars alongside A-Rod and the Ohtani phenomenon has unleashed a storm of criticism – a real scandal.

Fans don’t understand why Ohtani and Alex are absent

“What a weird list!”

“The discredit they are giving Alex is crazy.”

“This list has no credibility. I don’t believe in these ‘awards’ anymore.”

“I would understand if there were criteria for choosing players, such as excluding those involved in banned substances. This makes no sense.”

“What is Mike Trout doing here? He’s an overrated player. I don’t believe in these expert lists anymore.”

These were some of the comments posted on social media, many of which were negative.

It’s very difficult to reach an agreement with everyone on a list of this level, which is why baseball is incredible. Everyone has their own opinions, and it’s hard to get many people to agree.

Ohtani and Alex can undoubtedly be included on this list, but ultimately, our personal opinions matter a lot.
