Shakur Stevenson continues to push for a fight against Gervonta Davis, convinced that he is the better boxer. Although Stevenson sees it as one of the biggest fights of the moment, Davis shows no interest in facing him and simply rejects the idea of fighting Shakur.
According to various sources, pending official confirmation, Gervonta Davis will face Lamont Roach Jr. on August 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This would be a rematch of their controversial draw in March, with some believing that Roach Jr. had been “robbed.”
Meanwhile, Shakur is preparing to fight William Zepeda on July 12 in New York. However, he still has Gervonta on his mind. In fact, he mentioned Davis repeatedly after his press conference
Shakur is begging for a fight with Gervonta
And yes, Stevenson has once again mentioned Davis, intending to fight him.
“Right now, I’m only thinking about July 12. Of course, I want to fight ‘Tank.’ I’ve been saying it for years. But the truth is, if I don’t beat Zepeda, there won’t be a fight against Davis. Zepeda is first, and I’m going to give it my all,” said Shakur.
He was also asked about the possibility of Davis fighting Jake Paul instead of him at the end of the year.
“It would be disrespectful to the sport if Tank accepts that fight instead of me. I’m the best fighter, and I can prove it.”

“We’re working behind the scenes to make it happen. Obviously, the fans will win this fight, and it would be one of the biggest events of the year. It would be an exhibition fight.”
