Serena Williams cooks dinner with her hands to feed her daughter and dogs with her delicious recipe

We’ve seen Serena Williams dominate Grand Slams, launch businesses, and take over fashion runways but fans just got a rare, messy, and surprisingly relatable peek into her life as a mom and home cook. In a new video shared on her Instagram Reels, the tennis icon rolled up her sleeves (well, actually just used her bare hands) to make dinner for her daughter Olympia… and their two family dogs.

The video captures Serena in her kitchen, dressed in what looks like a tennis outfit as if she had just stepped off the court. She’s relaxed, chatting casually while prepping dinner alongside her 7 year old daughter Olympia. Together, they slice tomatoes, broccoli, and carrots, with Olympia confidently taking charge of the chopping like a little chef in training. But what really got people talking wasn’t just the adorable teamwork it was Serena’s no spoons needed, all hands approach to cooking. From stirring to mixing to serving, she did it all with her bare hands, and fans couldn’t look away.

And it wasn’t just a visual moment. Midway through the reel, as if on cue, the family’s dogs come trotting over, clearly aware that dinner prep might mean snack time. Without hesitation, Serena breaks off a small piece of sausage and feeds it to them again, with her hand before turning right back to the stove to keep cooking for her daughter. There were no dramatic wipes, no hand sanitizer in sight. It was raw, real, and deeply human.

Some commenters joked about the hygiene, while others praised how refreshingly unfiltered the whole video felt. Serena may be a global icon, but in that kitchen, she looked like every multitasking parent just trying to get dinner on the table. And if we’re being honest, haven’t we all, at some point, used our hands more than we’d admit while cooking?

Since stepping away from professional tennis in 2022, Serena has embraced life beyond the court. She’s become a leading voice in women’s health and entrepreneurship, launching her own beauty brand, Wyn, focused on clean, inclusive skincare. She and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their second daughter, Adira, in August 2023, expanding their tight-knit family. But despite all her ventures, it’s moments like this Serena in the kitchen with Olympia that truly connect with fans.

Serena Williams may be a 23 time Grand Slam champion, a tech investor, and a fashion mogul, but at home, she’s simply “Mom,” feeding her daughter and dogs one hand mixed meal at a time.
