PSG defender and former Real Madrid player Achraf Hakimi was actively involved in the attempted theft of Mendy’s towel, which was led by ball boys and some members of the organisation. Hakimi’s attempt to take the towel off the pitch caused a brawl between Senegal and Morocco players.

Yehvann Diouf is a Franco-Senegalese goalkeeper who plays for OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1.
He was trained at E. S. Troyes A. C. and in 2016 he made history at the French club by signing his first professional contract at the age of 16 years and 297 days.
In 2019 he moved to Stade de Reims and in July 2025 he signed for Nice.
Yehvann Djibril Victor Diouf, of Senegalese father and Polish mother, became a French youth international and on 19 March 2025 FIFA approved that he could play for Senegal, a team with which he has been an international once
