Ryan Garcia strongly drops support for President Donald Trump and refuses to “stay silent”

Politics can be very polarizing, especially during election years. That has been amplified during the last three elections, as Donald Trump has strongly divided opinions among the United States people. Despite his divisive nature, he has had an incredible amount of support from working class citizens and also high-profile celebrities. Ryan Garcia was one of those.

The enigmatic boxer wasn’t shy about voicing his support for Trump during the election cycle. He posted a picture with him during Election Day, with the caption, “Bring it home. AMERICA FIRST. Trump for the KO. No other choice for America.” Garcia had it clear that Trump was the right pick to lead the country, but current events have the boxer regretting his decision.

Amidst the unrest in Los Angeles due to immigration raids that have led to protests from citizens and non-citizens, as well as responses from ICE and the National Guard at Trump’s directive, Garcia has come out to speak against what’s being done. Even though he voted for Trump, this is not what he envisioned.

Ryan Garcia continues to be outspoken on crucial topics outside of boxing

Garcia’s message is an important one for the Los Angeles community. He isn’t the first celebrity to speak up about it, but it helps when high-profile names do so. The boxer has really found himself persdonally since dealing with a one-year suspension, and he hasn’t been afraid to speak on important topics.

A week ago, Garcia posted a message for men who are struggling with mental health. He, himself, has struggled with “heavy depression“, which led to abusing alcohol and drugs. Garcia may not be in his best form in the ring, but outside of it, he is becoming a champion.
