Ryan Garcia cries no more and uses help from ex-wife Andrea Celina and friends to get over recent loss

These are trying times for Ryan Garcia. Making his return from a one-year suspension last week, Garcia was humbled by a hungry Rolly Romero, who stunned everyone by knocking him down and winning the fight by unanimous decision. It was not the night Garcia envisioned, and it left fans wondering if Garcia’s substance use against Devin Haney was what was keeping him from turning into a middling boxer.

Garcia has always tried to keep a confident and cold persona in public, mainly to sell fights. But the emotions came flooding out following his loss to Romero. Garcia was seen crying in the van that took him out of the event area in Times Square. He proceeded to post a message on his X account that night, saying he was “devastated and really sad” for fighting so poorly. But in the loss, he saw a win.

In that same post, Garcia claimed victory for coming back from “something a lot of people don’t come back from”. Even though a loss was added to his record, that small moral victory was enough for Garcia to celebrate, and he did so with his ex-wife Andrea Celina a week later.

Garcia posted a video at a pool party on Saturday, with Celina next to him and more women in the area. He captioned the Instagram story: “Enjoying time with the wifey“.

Garcia and Celina appeared to be in good spirits. It seems like the loss is stinging a little less, aided by a party and good vibes. No one knows yet what Garcia’s next move will be.
