Travis Hunter’s arrival in the NFL did not go unnoticed. This weekend, the challenge will be greater. Jacksonville will face Joe Burrow’s Bengals, who feature two elite receivers: Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. To counter that duo, the Jaguars plan to increase Hunter’s defensive involvement, relying on his speed, instincts, and athleticism.
Currently, the rookie is behind veteran Jourdan Lewis in the rotation. However, the coaching staff is considering moving Lewis to the nickel role if Hunter proves he can handle full-time outside coverage-a decision that would give Coen’s defensive system more flexibility.
