Ronaldo Nazario draws comparisons between himself and other legends; he only sees one who stands ahead of him

Ronaldo Nazário is considered one of the greatest forwards in football history. He won the World Cup twice with Brazil, first in 1994 against Italy and then again in 2002 against Germany. He also played in the 1998 final, where Brazil faced the host nation, France.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has recognized his own greatness, but more importantly, he has acknowledged his place in football history. When asked to compare his talent to that of other legends such as Romário, Adriano, and Cristiano Ronaldo, he admitted that there is only one player he believes is greater than himself.

He shared a locker room with many football legends. He began his career in Brazil with Corinthians, where he had an impressive season, making 34 appearances and scoring 34 goals. During that time, he was teammates with the great Rivaldo.

He later played in the Netherlands with PSV, alongside young talents Cocu and Gudjohnsen. During his time there, he scored 42 goals in 46 appearances. After that, he moved to Barcelona for a brief season, where he maintained an impressive scoring rate, posting 34 goals in 37 matches.

After his time with Barcelona, he joined Inter Milan in 1997. Although he was already a World Champion with Brazil in 1994, he was still a young player and did not feel the same pressure at that time. In 1998, after an outstanding season in Italy, he reached his second World Cup final, but unfortunately lost to Zidane’s France.

Revenge and football are synonymous. He reached the World Cup final in 2002 and dominated the entire tournament, winning and lifting his second trophy. He played for Real Madrid as part of the Galácticos, alongside stars like Beckham, Zidane, Cambiasso, Ramos, Casillas, and Raúl.

Ronaldo’s career is often compared to the best in the game, and it is fair to say that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are part of this conversation. However, I believe that only Messi ranks above Ronaldo. He is the greatest of all time (GOAT).
