Real Madrid could receive one of the worst pieces of news at the worst possible moment. Jude Bellingham’s injury might be more serious than initially thought, and alarms are now sounding around the LaLiga giants.
The English midfielder suffered the injury just over a week ago against Rayo Vallecano, within the first ten minutes of the match, after a run toward the end line where he felt a sharp pain in the back of his thigh.
The moment was concerning: his hand immediately went to his hamstring injury as he lay on the ground, his face unable to hide his worry. He had to be substituted, and cameras captured him covering his face with his shirt.
Following the corresponding Real Madrid medical tests, he was diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg.
Arbeloa could be very worried
Initial Real Madrid injury update medical evaluations estimated a recovery period of around one month for Real Madrid’s No. 5. However, journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon has warned that the recovery timeline could extend up to two months, keeping Jude Bellingham off the field for significantly longer than originally anticipated.
If this scenario is confirmed, the Real Madrid midfielder would miss key LaLiga matches against Real Sociedad, Osasuna, Getafe, Celta, Elche, and Atlético de Madrid. Additionally, he would not be available for the Champions League playoff against Benfica nor, in the event of advancement, for potential Champions League Round of 16 ties against Manchester City or Sporting CP.
This prolonged absence would represent a massive blow to Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid at one of the most decisive stages of the season.
